The Congressional Prayer Room
The Congressional Prayer Room near the rotunda in the United States Capitol is a place set aside for the use of members of Congress who seek a quiet place for meditation or prayer. In the chapel there is a stained glass some unofficially call, "Gethsemane of Washington." It is of General George Washington the stained glass window with George Washington kneeling in prayer as the focal point. Surrounding him are the words from Psalm 16:1, “Preserve me, O God, for in thee do I put my trust.” Above him are the words from Lincoln’s Gettysburg address: “This Nation Under God.”
George Washington realized the fate of the new country, America, was on both shoulders. Even in the unfolding events of Independence from England, he always sought a quiet place and prayed to God. Eventually, George Washington's prayers were answered and the United States were completely independent from Britain. The United States, where the footsteps of the forefathers of faith, have clearly remained, leaves behind a legacy for future generations.
After the Israelites left Egypt and even before entering Canaan, there were those who stood as main figures of the fulfillment of the covenant. The posterity who witnessed this began to follow in their footsteps. If you grab hold of the absolute covenant and go on the absolute journey, God will continue to raise the posterity into a generation who will undoubtedly fulfill the covenant.
The forty years spent in the wilderness was a time of preparation for the next generation of Remnants. During that span in the wilderness, God prepared the twelve tribes; the seventy church officers who would relay this covenant to future generations; and Joshua and Caleb. For others, the wilderness was an empty place, but for those who held onto God and His covenant, it became a place to prepare everything.
The wilderness path that you walk on today is the site of the greatest blessing to prepare for world evangelization. God has called you to leave behind and relay the Gospel in this age that has completely lost hold of it. You dream of world evangelization and live a blessed life that prepares the next generation who will achieve this dream with you.
Knowing this, you are people of God who will walk your life in this covenant journey!! I pray for you and I love you. 2/17/2021
