 The California fan palms are magnificent. They grow in the Kofa Mountains in Arizona, USA. They grow to be about 15-20 meters tall. Botanists have investigated how these tropical trees could grow lush in a dark, steep, and sloping narrow canyon, a place where sunlight can only be seen for two hours.

As a result of years of research, it was concluded that because of the 'rock' that palm trees were able to grow well even in harsh environments. The trees were able to grow well because the rock walls in the valley reflected enough sunlight and stored enough warmth and heat throughout the day to provide for the palm trees. Like these rocks, God is the true rock and guides you by showing you the things you need to maintain your spiritual health even in the small things.

The wilderness of Israel was immensely hot during the day and extremely cold at night. In that situation, God led his people.

People delude themselves by thinking that they can solve their problems with their own strength and misunderstand that restoration will take place because they’ve tried so diligently. However, God wants people to look at only Him. No matter how serious or difficult the problem is, if they bring it to God, they can confirm His protection.

If you look to “only God,” the Word will begin to be fulfilled in you, and you’ll discover what God will do through you. His desire is for you to uncover that mission. Right now, you need time for Jesus Christ, who is the light, to become imprinted in your soul; a time for the Word to become deeply rooted in your thoughts and heart; and a time of prayer to be equipped with the nature to focus on God.
