Where I Stand
The Russian writer Tolstoy left behind a masterpiece entitled, “War and Peace.”
He was born the son of a count, but his mother died one year and six months after he was born, leaving behind five children. As a young man, he enlisted in the military, and based his writings on vivid experiences of the Crimean War. He received praise from people and enjoyed glory and wealth with his work. “War and Peace,” was based on his father and mother’s family as models. However, he could not help the futility of his life, his fear of sin, and his anxious heart.
Then one day, as he was walking down a country road, he saw that a farmer's face looked unusually peaceful. Tolstoy asked what his secret was. The farmer said, "I am always happy to live relying on God." Tolstoy looked back at himself, who was living an unhappy life than the rural farmer even though he possessed all he needed. He came to the Lord, and confessed, "Knowing God is the right way to live and the way to true success." There is no true happiness until you find your place in God.
If you’re inside the Word, you’ll gain enough strength to the point where you won’t need any help from others. The necessities in life such as food and shelter will no longer pose as problems. You must treasure God’s Word to the extent that it appears in your heart and soul for twenty-four hours every day. Then even if you’re at the lowest place, you’ll still be able to correctly see the spiritual facts and enjoy the mystery of prayer.
To be in the Word means that you have to completely lay down your own thoughts and concentrate on the things of God. This is the shortcut to world evangelization and the attitude of God’s servant who will carry out His errands. Joseph saw what was contrary to his brothers and Egypt.
By enjoying the “blessing of 24 hours” that helps you survive wherever you go, the “answer of 25 hours” that turns crises into opportunities will emerge. You are people of God, who will be the protagonists in His works!! I pray for you and I love you. 7/01/2021
