A Person Without Fear
Christians nicknamed Mary the Queen of England as "Bloody Mary," the most persecuted Queen of England. Queen Mary feared the Scottish reformer John Knox the most because he was a man of prayer. John Knox was known to be the “Scotland Reformer.” Queen Mary I tried to turn Scotland into a Catholic state, but Knox said, “Give me Scotland, or I die” and proclaimed it as a prophet for the nation. James Douglas (1516-1581), then a regent of Scotland, said at John Knox's grave: "He who has never feared a human face, sleep here.” This is the power of those who have a covenant and set apart their goals.
If Daniel had lost hold of the essence of the Gospel, he would’ve lost himself in comfort and security while eating very well and drinking sweet wine. However, Daniel, who was moved by the Spirit of Jehovah God, looked at the age and lived a completely different life because he had seen God’s desires.
Daniel lived in an age when nobody knew God and the entire nation was sized by the culture of darkness and worshiped idols.
However, the king’s evil officials tried to frame Daniel who had gained the king’s trust. Even though Daniel knew that his life was in danger, he prayed three times a day and gave thanks to God as he had done previously. Daniel sought and followed God’s desires instead of adhering to the standards of the world or people’s perceptions.
Because the Israelites had lost hold of the Gospel, the temple was destroyed, and they were taken as captives. The same is true today. Although God has called you as the main figure of world evangelization, if you don’t have any interest in God’s desires, you’ll eventually be controlled by the spirit of the world and live as a captive to the culture of darkness.
You are people of God, who have been called to be the protagonists who will change the flow of the age and the culture!!! I pray for you and I love you. 8/27/2021
